Do I need to install anything?
No. Open PinPoint Golf in your phone browser after you sign in and allow location access.
How accurate is it?
It uses your phone GPS, which is usually within a few yards in open sky. The app shows the current accuracy so you can judge it.
How does the photo check work?
Take a photo of the flag and tap the top and bottom of the stick. PinPoint uses the standard 7 ft flagstick height to estimate distance, compares it to your GPS yardage, and lets you move the saved pin if they disagree. It is a backup, best within about 100 yards.
Does it work without cell service?
GPS works without signal, but the page has to be loaded first. Open it on the first tee while you still have a connection.
